Terms of Use

These terms explain the service scope, saved job behavior, AI subtitle limitations, advertising, prohibited use, and user responsibilities for MagicSub Studio.

Last updated: 2026-06-18

Acceptance of these terms

These terms apply when a user uses the MagicSub Studio website and subtitle creation features. By using the service, the user is treated as having reviewed and accepted these terms and the privacy notice.

Service scope

MagicSub Studio provides a browser-based AI subtitle workflow for creating subtitle drafts from video or audio, editing text and timing on speaker tracks and a timeline, and exporting SRT, VTT, TXT, Premiere Pro XML, DaVinci Resolve FCPXML, and Final Cut Pro FCPXML files.

Automatic transcription and speaker separation run in the user's browser. Processing speed and output quality can vary depending on device performance, browser support, video length, and audio quality.

The service does not guarantee that AI-generated text, timing, speaker separation, or export results are complete, accurate, or suitable for every editing program without review.

User responsibility

Users are responsible for having the necessary rights to process their media files and for reviewing subtitle output before publishing, delivering, broadcasting, or using it in paid work.

When processing files that include another person's voice, face, personal information, or copyrighted work, the user must confirm any required consent or rights. If a file contains sensitive information, review the service structure and retention behavior before processing it.

AI transcription and speaker separation can produce incorrect results. Users should verify names, numbers, technical terms, speaker labels, timing, and imported files in the target editor.

Files and saved jobs

Original video and audio files are not uploaded to or stored on the server. After automatic subtitle processing, subtitle results, speaker settings, and job records may be saved to the account. When playback is needed on the review screen, the user reconnects the local file directly.

Jobs are generally retained for 3 days from creation or extension and may be cleaned up after expiry. Users can delete individual jobs from the job list.

Saved jobs are a convenience for continuing subtitle editing. MagicSub Studio does not provide original video storage, backup, or distribution-ready video hosting.

Prohibited use

  • Do not use the service for media that you do not have the right to process.
  • Do not upload or process content in a way that violates applicable law or another person's rights.
  • Do not attempt to bypass access controls, overload the service, or interfere with other users.
  • Do not send passwords, authentication codes, payment information, or original media files through support email unless explicitly requested later.

Advertising

MagicSub Studio may use Google AdSense advertising. The currently applied AdSense code is used for site review and ad-serving preparation, and after approval the service plans to configure display ad units mainly around the left and right ad areas. Auto ads may be adjusted in the Google AdSense console.

Availability and changes

The service may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued because of product improvements, security measures, cost management, or external service changes. Features, supported formats, retention behavior, and page content may be updated as the product evolves.

Some features may be temporarily limited during urgent incidents, browser compatibility problems, or external service outages.

MagicSub Studio may update these terms. Continued use after updates means the user accepts the updated terms.
